Uniforming
Ship 280 now uses the Official Sea Scout "New Century" uniform.
Uniforms consist of a dark blue shirt and dark blue trousers. Scouts and leaders may wear dark blue shorts in season.
Obtaining Your Uniform
Contact the Skipper to order uniform insignia.
Youth purchase their own work uniform pants and shirt from Dickies. (dickies.com, Amazon etc.) The Dickies item # for the shirt is 1574 (Male) FS574 (Female), Color code DN. The pants are Item 874 (Male), 774 (Female), Color DN (Dark Navy).
This is the National 'New Century Uniform'. We wear this as our standard uniform (youth and adult). You can get more information on this uniform here. NOTE: We do NOT wear the neckerchief with this uniform.
The only patch you need to purchase on your own is the council shoulder strip (CSP). This can be purchased at the council service center, 807 Kinnear Rd, Columbus. All other uniforms and insignia are stocked by the ship.
